The Georgia Run-Off between incumbents David Perdue and Kelly Loefellor and their Liberal challengers Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock is heating up. This race is significant partially because it is going to determine the balance of power within the United States Senate. As of now, Republicans have 50 seats while Democrats have 48 seats. If Democrats do happen to win both races, then the Senate will be at 50/50 thus promoting the Vice President Elect, Kamala Harris to be the tie breaker. Obviously because the Vice President Elect is a Democrat, she will allow much of President-Elect's Biden agenda to be passed. This includes gun reform, immigration, his tax policy and more. However, if the Republicans retain control of the senate, then they will be capable of blocking much of Biden's policies.             As of now, the race rests as a tight contest. However, according to recent polling, Warnock and Ossoff have a slight edge over the incumbents. Early voting has ended on January 1st, 2020 with roughly 2.8 million Georgians voting early. The key counties to watch are the suburbs surrounding Atlanta which will suggest if the Democrats are bringing African Americans to the polls. On the other hand, the incumbents have to draw more support in their rural counties, especially in the counties bordering South Carolina. It is also important to mention that Republicans usually are more successful in run-offs while Democrats strive in the main Presidential Election.
